Simon Rumney is a British writer who has worked for many years in the publishing industry. He wrote the best-selling biography of the English comedian Eric Morecambe, entitled “Morecambe’s Progress” which was published by Hutchinson in 1983. He also wrote “The Unforgettable Eric Morecambe,” published by Hodder & Stoughton in 1988, and “Laughing Gas,” published by Octopus Books Ltd. in 1990
